TVO is Ontario’s public educational media organization and a
trusted source of interactive educational content that informs,
inspires, and stimulates curiosity and thought.
TVO’S VISION
To empower people to be engaged citizens of Ontario through
educational media.
TVO’S MANDATE
To help Ontarians become more engaged with our friends, families
and our world, and to become more active citizens.
In doing this, we can help build a stronger, more cohesive
society. TVO uses its media resources to support the following
priorities of the Ontario Ministry of Education:
• Contribute to school readiness and help kids to be successful
learners;
• Increase the involvement of parents in their children’s
education;
• Encourage active citizenship and public engagement.
